At The Bug Club DJ Vans, we certainly do not think so and neither does the legendary DJ Fat Tony.
When the brilliant team at Marleybones, purveyors of very fancy dog food, approached us with an idea to wrap one of our iconic VW DJ Van Bugs and pop up in the heart of Covent Garden, it was an instant yes. As a company obsessed with dogs, music and unforgettable brand experiences, this activation felt like it was written in our DNA.
From Concept to Covent Garden A Bespoke Brand Activation
From the very first concept sketch to the final branded Bug rolling into the piazza, we worked side by side with Marleybones to create a truly unique experiential marketing activation.
The brief was simple.
Create something joyful, eye catching and shareable. An activation that would stop festive shoppers in their tracks and bring Marleybones’ playful luxury brand to life.
The result was one of our favourite activations ever.

The vibe was relaxed, festive and joyful. The kind of activation that feels organic rather than intrusive.
The soundtrack was curated by DJ Fat Tony himself at Batch LDN, setting the perfect Sunday mood. Add in outrageously good margaritas from Pimentae Drinks (grapefruit is elite tier, shoutout Alice) and you had an atmosphere that felt more like a celebration than a brand event.
